Knights' Festival

We just had our School Spirit Week (for lack of a better term).

This is probably the biggest time of the year for the school.

Our mascot is a Crusader.

Thus, our spirit week is one of medieval themes.

The students dress up as knights and maidens.

The teachers do to, if they have an awesome costume made by a friend.

Thanks to my roommate for this really great Christmas gift.

Of course, all of the food must be eaten without dinnerware.

They did not have those things "back then."

The truth is, they also threw their chicken bones on the ground,

and we did not do that either.

So, plasticware was offered for the desperate.

The younger kids went "Boar Hunting."

They had to cross the bridge over the river...

...and spear the boar...

...paying careful attention to the fact that cornered boars will sometimes go on the offensive.

The maidens competed in archery...

...while the knights dueled with swords and fought in the melee.

And, the teachers competed in their own events, seems like.

Not sure what this one would be called.

After putting on a play,

eating all of that food,

and taking so many pictures,

I was worn out.

What a fun night!
